Desktop Pet Snake - Virtual Pet
A downloadable game for Windows
A new desktop pet. Have a friendly snake slithering on your desktop. Watch it walk, sleep, and more... or even teleport! It also hides when you put the full screen, to not disturb.
This is a project I have been working on for some time, and there are still many things to add. Fully coded in Python. I hope you enjoy. Ideas for additions/improvement are well welcome :)
HOW TO USE:
Unzip the file and run Desktop Snake.exe. Also read README.
To close the application, use ESC key.
If the snake is not aligned with the taskbar, you can modify the Y coordinate from the config file to change its location.
To use the color editor, use H key.

my antivirus starts when i wanna run it
When i go into the config.ini file to change the y value it only says "
"[Settings] auto startup = True" What do i do?

I'm sorry for that. Are you getting some error message or just doesn't appear in the desktop?
Just doesn't appear
Look in task manager. If it is running, close application, try opening config.ini file and change y value to lower number like y 700. Reopen the application, and it should appear in the middle of the screen. Now you can change y value to adjust the position of the snake :)
I can't find the file
Inside the main folder of desktop snake should be a file named config. That's the file where you can change Y value

i cant seem to recolor my snake :( nothing pops up when i click it and press h

is there one that's a cat?? or you only make snake??
I currently have 3, this one, the Kirby UFO and the desktop Birds. I'm working on other projects but I could do a Desktop Cat if you are interested in.

What type of error are you getting? If there are no errors but it does not appear on the screen, try changing the value of y in the config.ini file to a smaller value. That takes care of the height at which the Desktop pet appears
hi!! I can't put the snake on, I click on it and only my mouse appears loading and nothing, I installed it again and still nothing, please fix it
Hello! Try looking at task manager if the snake program is running. If it is, try changing the Y value of config.ini to 500 and restarting the snake. The snake should appear in the middle of screen, so once you've done that, change the y value to align the snake with the taskbar, or to change the position to one you prefer
i love this mod but i cant seem to delete a snake can you help me whit that ?
Hii! To delete the Snake you need to click the Snake and press ESC. Also yo can close the App by going into task manager, and pressing end task.
